The latest from Dream of Doll :

I received this response -

At first, I who am writing this message was surprised after read your words cause I didn't know that our Hoo restocked again.
My part is replying to the customers via email and this board.
And there is another staff who managed dolls and goods.
But even the staff didn't know about that cause our boss let Hoo to be restock.
Actually I have no idea what you said about restocked Hoo.
After read your message, I've asked another staff who managed dolls and goods and I could know the staff had no idea about it like me.
So I've asked all of our staff, finally I could know our boss did.

Altough I didn't know about it, I absolutely understand your mind.
And I've told our boss about your situation and our boss wanted to do for you as you want.

You can change your order so you can get Hoo but we want to confirm about option.
As you can see, we offer two types of body for Hoo.
One is long leg body and the other is New-body 2.
If you choose a long leg body, you can get hand 5 and hand 1(especially for you), if you choose New-body 2, you can get hand 5 and hand 6.
So please let me know. ^^ And I hope you are happy cause I'm an owner too... like you, so I understand your mind 100% ^^

Oh, of course we can refund the extra payment or give it to your ID as the store credit or you can choose the extra hand parts or some goods. ^^
Have a nice day!

What does that mean?

It means I will get the Hoo set I originally wanted, with two hand sets (including the out-of-stock one I originally asked for and was initially denied) like advertised, eyes and wig (their choice), hopefully a faceup like the Eiri images and description I sent, and yet another set of hands because I ordered an extra set when buying him in pieces. And I'll probably have a little money left-over for either a store credit or as a refund.

Does this mean I'm happy?

At the moment, yes. I just hope they don't fumble the order so it arrives while we're in San Francisco in July.

I find it odd but not surprising to find that most of the workers were out of the loop about the restock. DOD hardly EVER restocks a doll after it's sold out.

Well yes, it seems you are lucky and have scored the doll you wanted from DOD, inspite of more than half of the employees being clueless . . . silly boss. It is typical of companies to not know what the left hand and the right hand are doing.

I think the letter was pretty well written actually . . . nice to know someone was listening . . . this speaks well for them, I think!! :)

First, welcome back!

Yeah, I'm feeling pretty lucky about it. Another blond grumpy-puss will be coming home in two months or so. And poor Shindo will have to hide behind the big guys because Yuki will be out to kill him. Ah, the drama never ends around here!

Wow! I'm impressed you actually got an answer from them so quickly! ^_^ I, honestly, had my doubts they would reply, but maybe they are turning things around there (well, as far as communication to their customers goes anyway).

Good luck with the rest of the order/wait period. :)

Hug - Eiri and Shuichi

Well, after dealing with people like Dollmore Jee and Iplehouse, who are really on the ball, the almost 48 hour turn-around time has been frustrating. I keep having to remind myself that Luts is terrible at responding unless you nag them.

They haven't responded back to my comments yet so I am going to check one more time before going to bed.

Now the UGH! wait begins.
