current mood: sore

The Model Masters worked today without bubbling so I've started 'furring' Soy. He looks more like a racoon, though. I need to see him in the daylight. Maybe I should have gotten grey resin instead. Probably need to add some black fur lines to him.

Still need to get Ki's arrival photos finished and posted before I post Soy's arrival. Ki's arrival shots are taking so long because they have a story along with the regular box opening photos. Those always take longer.

Didn't make it to the craft show, nor the resin meetup/Halloween party Saturday. However, I DID get my homework completed enough so all I have to do now is save the pieces, set up the web gallery and post the images. Shuichi was my victim for the homework this time. I didn't go pretty - followed the examples provided by the teacher - but I'll meet the requirements. This section is colour: additive, subtractive, hue, saturation, tint, web-safe, etc.

I also kept falling asleep. The home exercises are not strenuous to someone with a healthy body but are taxing for my poor body. The therapists add something else every time I go in. rat has been sweet enough to do some of them with me. He's getting tired, too.

The Tae Yangs are still not completed. Don't even have their names nailed yet. Waiting for the group order from Cool Cat to arrive - it's in transit at the moment. They'll get their 'proper' eyes and names at that time. Azone clothing is working for those guys, which is good. Just wish they were a little less costly. $20 for just pants is a bit much for a Barbie-esque doll. I need to get a box for their clothing.

Mirin, my incoming PukiFee Shiwoo, has a large pile of clothing and shoes now. I need to get her a box for her stuff, too.

Boxes - I wonder if Joanne's are having another sale on boxes...

Have you looked at Ken clothing?

I know they are hard to find - but Ken pants will fit the Taeyang boys. The last Barbie fashion pack I bought Skada snagged the jeans for her boy Nik. And then we discovered that the off-brand G.I. Joes at Big Lots are in clothing that will fit a Taeyang. I think some of the smaller YoSD items will also fit. I know that the jacket for L's Jasmine is an Another Space YoSD jacket.

And then Skada can point you toward a few people on Etsy and such that make Taeyang clothing.

TaeYang Cuddle

Yes, and I purchased a pristine vintage Ken clothes packet of patterns recently, and now I don't want to open it and start using it!

Nigel came with a Ken outfit (short-sleeved shirt and shorts) I'll probably use for the Shuichi-esque doll when I decide I finally want to take off his uber-cool leathers.

And it's not like I don't have gobs of Yo clothing for boys around here. The teeshirts will work for both the Zos and the Tae Yangs.

I know I have a few pieces of Ken clothes floating around in my Barbie stuff but I don't know which doll case that stuff is in at the moment and it will take strength I don't have to dig the stuff out at this point in time.

Re: Have you looked at Ken clothing?

On the patterns, you could open them up and trace off the pieces on tissue paper or tracing paper, that way you aren't cutting the pattern. I have a friend that does this on her Barbie patterns since she lost a few early on and hated having to rebuy or redraft pattern pieces...so now nothing gets cut and she traces them. She has 4 cats, so there is lots of oppurtunity for things to go missing.

Re: Have you looked at Ken clothing?
a need to rest

I usually make photocopies of my patterns so they're on 20# bond and more sturdy, but currently I'm too lazy and cheap to go to a copy center to do it. I may do some tracing later, if I can find a large enough flat area to do it.

Right now I'm working on Soy's fur faceup and homework assignments and that's about all I have energy for at the moment.

Shuichi in sunglasses

You've seen the boxes I use - I carry one with my crochet stuff and another for my faceup stuff. The tops snap on and have handles and I have two sizes - one tall and one more shoebox size. I get them at Joanne's Fabrics and Crafts.

Yes, we should get together and check out storage stuff!
