Memorial Doll
My DZ 1/4th double-jointed body (for the event Luke head coming in with my Moon) I adopted from a collector in Spain FINALLY arrived Tuesday after sitting in New York for a week! I picked it up from the post office Wednesday morning before work.
He's wonderful! Arrived in perfect condition, even when traveling bent up in a Fairyland shipping box that originally contained a Real Puki box! I love DZ dolls - the resin is so smooth and they pose like dreams!
I did not have any character for him, but Wednesday one fell from heaven, so to speak. I found out Tuesday night that a good friend had died Easter Sunday but I found out late last night AFTER the memorial service that day. So the doll is going to be a memory doll of my friend, who for a while was my best friend. When we were close, he liked the group Journey, and my friend's name was James Odle so the doll will be Journey Odle.
I'm very sorry for your loss, Onna. Your tribute sounds very special, and will give you many reasons to smile in fond memory.
And it's a lovely name, really.
