The Kitsune at Work

I REALLY am far behind in my photos! Here is Nasake, shortly after I got him. I took him to work a couple of times, to try and acclimate him to humans. He was unimpressed and demanded to be taken to foliage whenever I could get away for a few minutes.

His new wig is by JPopDolls.
Kimono by Kimono-Japan.
Asian outfit by Snow-Kaguya.
Modifications by Kurosakura.

Thanks for looking!

Cherries.

Kurosakura? I know her. What did she do to him?

Sorry, my brain's not functioning that well right now [finals!] and he IS the one of the boys who I know the least about..

Kurasakura did the faceup, eyes, ears and tail for Nasake. She did the mods and posted the final product on DoD. eidolontree told me about the entry at DoD so I went over to check him out. Shortly thereafter, she posted him on eBay and I bid on him. After a bit of a war, I won him.

I haven't talked much about him because he is not integrated into the family via photostory yet. He still lives with Trans in the media room.

hellokitty blue angel

This guy is so adorable. And I just *love* that kimono. I think I'd kinda like to get my girl one at some point. (Although I probably ought to get her some underwear first. ~_~)

Nasake doesn't wear underwear...

I really need to research what type of underwear WAS worn under kimono and try to make some for the bad dog.

I think this is the first time I've been able to appriceate Nasake. Wow...that blue really suits him!!

Yes, blue seems to be one of his strong colours. It figures - I hate blue...

I just ordered a medium green hakama set for him, for Xmas. He doesn't have any hakama and since he sticks to Asian-styled clothing and likes only particular colours, the choices out there are pretty limited.

Aww, poofy-hair!! *would hug him if he liked humans a little more* He's very darling - love that pale kimono you've got him in, and that's such a foxy little faceup, too! ^________^

I'm curious about his ears, though: how are they attached to his head, just out of interest? :)

Oh, you can hug him all you want! He needs to learn to deal with it, like being called cute, which he hates but he gets all the time. That wig is made of that Japanese fiber and is really soft. People love to pet him!

Kurosakura did a smashing job on the faceup - it is so utterly simple but oh so effective. My mother did not like Nasake when she saw the first photos but after she met him face-to-face, she really was charmed. She said the photos did not do him justice. The faceup is better 'live'.

About the ears - Kurosakura strung elastic string through the holes and tied it under his chin. That's all there is to it. It's great because it also keeps his wig from slipping off.

I now use little brass safety pins and elastic string to keep everyone's wigs on if they have a default they stick to. I knot each end to the pin side that does not open, then pin the inside of the wig on both sides. It makes a chinstrap. Since the string is transparent, it is difficult to see unless you look hard.

The string stretches out eventually and has to be replaced but the stuff comes on a big spool, is relatively cheap and I also use it to make their Japanese seed bead bracelets so it is a good investment.

Uwa he's absolutely beautiful! Kurosakura did an amazing job on him. His kimoni suits him perfectly.
